Our stay at Ladera Resort was fantastic. The property is stunning. Our “room”, like every room at Ladera, had an expansive, open-air view of the Pitons beyond our personal plunge pool. When I stuttered, “oh my goodness” upon walking in, Caroline mentioned that many people say the same upon arriving! It’s one of the most beautiful and unique resorts we’ve ever visited.
What really made our experience unique was the genuine personal interactions with the entire team. Christian and Sonya were a pleasure to interact with throughout our stay. Their care and friendliness made us feel instantly familiar. Anson’s morning yoga classes were a great way to start each beautiful day and Caroline’s welcome at the beginning of our stay and assistance throughout as concierge was very warm and personal. Absolute highlight - Alexander the Great (Jr)’s impromptu tour of the flowers and fruits that beautifully cover the Ladera property. The generosity with which he shared his knowledge and enthusiasm was awesome!
I was also fortunate to spend time at Ladera as an artist in residence, which was an incredible experience. The studio itself is inspiring, and I enjoyed and appreciated working alongside Boniface. Cindy’s guidance and coordination were also invaluable, and I’m grateful for her support.

Our stay at Ladera Resort was nothing short of magical! The property itself is breathtaking—perched high above the Pitons with open-air suites that make you feel like we were living in a dream. The views are beyond anything we’ve ever seen!

Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Our butler, Devonte, and Vianney with room service were especially incredible—both were kind, attentive, and consistently thoughtful! Both remembered our preferences, anticipated our needs, and made us feel personally cared for throughout our stay. We were sad to say goodbye bye to them at the end of our stay.

The housekeeping team kept everything immaculate, and the front desk staff greeted us with genuine warmth each time we passed by. They took care of helping us to get cash when we couldn’t get to an ATM, made sure we had towels when we left the property (even realizing for us and bringing them out to our taxi one day that we forgot to stop by and pick them up!) The concierge was also extremely helpful and was able to book us wonderful experiences even though we left some of our planning till the last moment. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and I often felt I was talking with friends rather than staff members. We felt completely at home while still wrapped in luxury.

Ladera isn’t just a resort—it’s an experience. It blends natural beauty, outstanding service, and pure relaxation in a way that feels effortless and unforgettable. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of our next visit.

While the open air experience may not be for everyone, if you are considering it, it was 100% worth it. The mosquito nets were effective and the breeze and fans made sleeping comfortable. I even used the comforter for the last half of our stay! If you’re looking for a uniquely intimate and extraordinary escape, Ladera Resort is absolute perfection. Highly, highly recommend!

We celebrated our ten-year marriage anniversary here, and everyone on the team went above and beyond to make sure it was truly special. The service was top-notch from the moment we arrived, and every staff member we met was warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making our experience perfect.

A huge shout-out to Dayne, our driver to and from the airport—he welcomed us with such kindness, made us feel comfortable right away, and set the tone for an amazing stay.

Every meal we had was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Housekeeping ensured our room was spotless every single day. And the butler service was exceptional across the board. Special recognition goes to the wonderful butlers who assisted us: Rohan, Saidely, Vianney, and especially Devonte, our main butler who took care of us most often. Their attentiveness and timing were incredible—there were moments when we weren’t expecting anything, yet a butler was already outside our room ready to assist.

Our room featured a breathtaking view of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea—waking up to that every morning felt surreal. The entire resort is incredibly peaceful and allows you to truly disconnect from technology so you can experience the island’s beauty in its purest form. The views, the nature, and the quiet serenity alone are enough to make you fall in love with this place.

By the end of our stay, we genuinely felt like family, and we will absolutely be returning in the future.

From the moment of arrival at the airport, La Dera’s staff provided the best experience, service, accommodations, and experiences. The staff are soft spoken, kind, & positive, taking great pride in their resort. They go above & beyond to exceed expectations making your experience the absolute best. It’s as though they are always one step ahead, providing answers and services promptly. Ray, the gardener loves educating and describing his tenure of work for 20+ years, Leah is dining insures each meal is curated to your liking, Daryl, Ray, and all of the staff, including pool maintenance are Johnnie on the spot! We can’t wait to return! A beautiful & unique experience.

My husband and I just celebrated our 45th anniversary here at Ladera. We returned last night from an amazing trip. The staff at the resort are extremely pleasant and eager to provide their guest with an outstanding experience. We arrived in our private transportation where we were greeted with a wet cold spearmint cloth and a welcome drink and then quickly taken directly to our suite. We stayed in Paradise Ridge 6 and it was well worth the cost for this suite. Our butlers, Darrel, Lavonte, Saidley, and School took care of us in excellence. Whenever we had a concern or need they made sure it was taken care of quickly. Our pool was heated and would get too warm. As soon as we let the staff know they would turn the heater off and one time added fresh cool water to cool it down quickly. We chose to do the Couples Harmony Experience at the spa and it did not disappoint. From the spa check in, our massage, the private time in the infinity heated pool to our lunch at Jako it was all just perfect!
Our favorite part of each day were the mornings having coffee on the balcony overlooking the rainforest, until breakfast was delivered out by our pool overlooking the Caribbean and the magnificent Pitons, and then finished off with a morning swim. We cannot wait to start planning our next trip!

Pitons suite which was sensational and was upgraded for our honeymoon into the heritage suite which was just mind blowing! Forever grateful! The view of the pitons blew us away, shooting stars and the most incredible night sky every evening and on our final day saw a rainbow across the pitons. Once in a lifetime and is definitely the most romantic place on Earth.

We went back to Ladera (for the 4th time in 20 years) to celebrate our 50th anniversary. It's simply magical. The resort is unmatched. We've been to 16 other islands and Greece and Italy and many other places.....St. Lucia's Ladera wins!!
We love the open-air rooms. We love the plunge pool in the room. We love the property. But, most of all, we love the staff and food and the service. Chef Nigel was the sous chef the first time we stayed at Ladera. We went to the market with him and did a cooking class. He's now the head Chef and the food is delicious!!! Breakfasts are eaten overlooking the Pitons. Homemade jams, assorted island breads ( I love the creole bread), French press coffee, cocoa tea, assorted fresh juices and wonderful food choices. We had omelets, eggs Benedict, bakes with salt fish, steak croissant, and the sweet potatoes are so good!!
Dinners are a true delight!! The fish of the day....creole, blackened, pan-fried or fried. Pasta with fresh seafood. Seafood risotto. Boulliabaisse, and there's pork and lamb.
The pool is cool and refreshing, with a waterfall of mountain water streaming from the spout.
Ladera has added many new features since our first visit. New hiking trails, a spa, a rum hideaway, a wine room and an expanded gift shop. But, it remains serene and quiet. You will feel pampered. You will be made to feel that everyone is glad you're there. It's special. It's why Ladera is the only resort we've ever returned to 4 times and why we'll go back........

We loved Ladera! The rooms were very clean and the view is absolutely beautiful. The resort is quiet and perfect for relaxing. The shuttle service makes it easy to go to nearby beaches. The food is great and the people working were so kind. I was initially nervous for the open air concept, but Ladera does such a grad job of cleaning the rooms and property that it’s nothing but relaxing and beautiful to have the open wall. We are so happy we stayed here on our honeymoon!

My husband and I recently stayed at Ladera for our honeymoon, and we only made one mistake -- going anywhere else before. We should have spent the entire duration of our honeymoon in paradise, at this incredible resort. If you stop reading here and are debating staying at Ladera, hit that book button, you won't regret it.

STAFF
The kindest team of people work here. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to ensure that our stay here was nothing short of magical. Their warmth and service is unmatched to any place I've ever stayed. We had a rough time getting from our previous honeymoon stop to St. Lucia (ferry problems, nothing to do with the hotel) and Ariella calmly and lovingly talked two honeymooners down from a meltdown. She ensured we would get to the hotel safe and sound, and truly saved the day. Kelly in the spa gave me the best massage I've ever had (and I love massages and go frequently). The entire spa team oozed warmth and professionalism, it was a highlight of my stay. Darrel and the rest of the butler team were so involved in making sure we were comfortable and happy (but how could we not be). Dave the pool guy was as knowledgeable and friendly as could be. Truly every single person we encountered made our trip a little bit better.

FOOD
The resort was so stunning, we hated the idea of leaving it, even for a meal. Luckily, we had Dasheene. Each meal was exceptional, the variety was spectacular, and the restaurant itself was breathtaking. Each meal felt like an experience, so budget time to enjoy and relax.

ATMOSPHERE/ROOM
We stayed in one of the Paradise Ridge suites, and all my friends and family have been subjected to either video or facetime tours of the room. Waking up, looking at the pitons and over the water was incredibly peaceful, I could have stayed in the room the entire time we were there and I would have been unbelievably happy.

EXCURSIONS
I could have stayed in the room, but was very glad we left. We did the soufriere experience and had the best time. The personal tour was relaxing, well paced, and let us see so much of the island in one morning. Next time we come back, we'll hopefully have time to do more (though I will need to read this as a reminder that it's worth leaving my room).

All in all, just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to the Ladera team. This is a trip my husband and I will be talking about for years to come.

What an excellent experience. Room and the views are magnificent. Service is exceptional. The staff is going above and beyond. Special thanks to Swithvie who works there. She went above and beyond organizing us everything we needed. Best beaches and restaurants in the area. Definitely recommend this resort.
 

The hotel is located in the UNESCO heritage site, overlooking to sea. The view is amazing. The hotel has a very local feel and atmosphere with amazing gardens and a brilliant natural trail. The rooms are in open air and offer an amazing view, night and day. The rooms are immaculate. The hotel offers all commodities (gym, spa, yoga, bars, free wifi). But most importantly, the staff is amazingly friendly, fun and helpful. The hotel is located in front of hotel chocolat and at a stone throw of the quaint and beautiful village of Soufrière. Honestly, the Ladera offered one of the best holidays in my life. Go there and just enjoy!

This resort is magical! The rooms with the open air, pool, and views were amazing. The food and customer service were top notch. I never went on vacation and spent that much time in my room. Amazing!! Highly recommend this beautiful resort for couples.
