FormalitiesWe will be happy to take care of all of the St. Lucia legal procedures involved for you. We simply need a few items: Three weeks before your wedding, Ladera needs to have received the following documents (either by mail or by fax):
When you arrive in St. Lucia, you must bring the following original documents:
Prior to Arrival Prior to your arrival at Ladera, our wedding specialist we will send the copies of the documents requested above to our lawyer in Castries (capital of St. Lucia). Once processed, the application is sent back to Ladera awaiting your arrival. To allow us enough time to process your marriage documentation, we must receive copies of all documents a minimum of three weeks before arrival. Upon Arrival When you and your partner arrive at Ladera, the original documents must be presented, and the application signed in the presence of the Justice of the Peace in the nearby town of Soufrière. Once signed, the documents are sent back to the lawyer in Castries to be submitted to the Attorney General of St. Lucia for approval and signature. The approved license is then sent back to Soufrière, where a marriage ceremony can be performed by the Marriage Officer. Important To allow for the timely transfer of documents between various public offices, the couple must be "On Island" a minimum of three full working days before the ceremony. Weekends and local holidays do not count, so please contact us to plan your arrival. We'll work with you to make sure that any public holidays do not disrupt your perfect day. Welcome to Happily Ever After! |
