New Flights into St. Lucia
Air Jamaica's new flight directly from New York begins December 15th, 2007 until January 10th, 2008. Operating daily except Wednesdays.

American Airlines, begins nonstop service from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to St. Lucia. American will fly the route three times weekly with flights operating into St. Lucia's Hewanorra International Airport. Service operates on Thursday/Sunday and Monday..

American Eagle will be introducing a new service out of San Juan into Hewanorra starting on the 7th of January, 2008.

British Airways has added a second service to St. Lucia operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Airline Information
For visitors coming from the United States, American Airlines offers a nonstop daily service from Miami, and a non-stop flight from JFK three times weekly. US Airways offers two flights every Saturday from Philadelphia and Charlotte. Air Jamaica offers direct flights from New York on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

A little further north Air Canada flies from Toronto two (2) days weekly in December to April and one (1) day weekly otherwise.

Delta now offers daily non-stop service from Atlanta. American Eagle flies daily to and from Puerto Rico into George Charles Airport. During the peak season, between mid-November and mid-March, a number of tour companies operate charters from London, Toronto, Milan and various Caribbean destinations.

St. Lucia is serviced by two major airlines from the UK. British Airways flies once a week on a Wednesday from Gatwick, Virgin Atlantic flies three times a week out of Gatwick on a Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. They will also fly from Manchester from November 22nd. XL Airways flies on a Sunday from Gatwick.

LIAT Star of The Caribbean offers an extensive service for regional travel and connections to international destinations.  American Eagle offers a flight between St. Lucia and Barbados on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

There are two (2) airports on the island: Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF) is located 40 miles south of Castries and George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) on the outskirts Castries.

Airport departure tax - Departure Tax of EC $54 (US $22) for all international passengers over 12 years old or EC $35 (US $13) for regional passengers must be paid when leaving the Island.

Services provided by the Hotel - All guests are met upon arrival at Hewanorra International Airport, and greeted at Ladera with a refreshing welcome beverage and chilled towel.

Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged by the Resort for an additional charge.
